NTCA EC will like to stress the importance as well as the significance on the matter of forfeitures. Please note that 2nd forfeiture in the same calendar year will be treated according to by-laws article IV.12.
Unfortunately recently FWL CC conceded 2nd forfeiture in the same calendar year. After their 2nd forfeiture, NTCA EC took actions according to by-laws article IV.12 with immediate effect. The invocation of this article means that FWL CC is suspended from further participation in any NTCA administered activities effective immediately till further notice.
Please note that NTCA EC and all the other committee members are here to serve you and to improve your club, which in return strengthens NTCA. Should you have any question or concern do email ec@ntcricket.com.
Regards,
EC, NTCA
By-Laws IV.12 Forfeiture
Forfeitures are a matter of extreme importance and signify a failure, by the club, to honor their commitment to other member clubs, demonstrated when entering teams in NTCA administered competitions. Should a club forfeit a NTCA scheduled fixture, it shall immediately submit to the EC, a written narrative which shall, at least, be comprised of the cause, the magnitude and the proposed rectification of the situation.
Should a club forfeit a second time during one calendar year, irrespective of the competitions, divisions and teams, it shall be suspended from further participation, from that point onwards. The club shall be notified in writing. The suspension shall generally apply to the entire club and all teams entered by the club. The suspension may also mean revocation of membership. If so, it may be so denoted in the written notice to the club.
